One of the most technically sophisticated distilleries in the United States, it’s set on a 100-acre stretch of farmland that is part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and offers a full experience with tours, as well as a complete restaurant in the form of the Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar. Bardstown Bourbon Company produces almost 40 unique mash bills for some of the finest whiskeys on the market, including Jefferson’s, High West, Belle Meade, Calumet, James E. Pepper, and Cyrus Noble.
The 6th release in the Fusion series is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that blends Bardstown’s own younger bourbons with an older sourced bourbon into a unique expression. The blend features 2 Bardstown’s 3-year-old bourbons. 56% is a bourbon with a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, 14% of the blend is a bourbon with a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 10% malted barley. The sourced Kentucky whiskey accounts for 30% of the blend. It’s an 11-year-old that was crafted with a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. The richest Fusion release to date is bottled at 97.9 proof.
