Remarkably well-balanced, this version perfectly captures the fresh, heady character of Blanton’s. Clearly distinct from one another, each stage of the tasting is a particularly voluble and inspired little scene that could stand on its own. The wonderfully cereal character of the nose gives way to a palate that doesn’t hesitate to turn towards the Orient to highlight its originality. As a climax, the finish rises steadily in power to become increasingly gourmand and deliciously tactile.
