Hired by Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton in 1949, Elmer T. Lee has become one of the most emblematic master distillers of the Buffalo Trace distillery. A trailblazer and visionary, in 1984 he created the first American single barrel bourbon: Blanton’s. Extremely well-balanced, this version takes us on a journey of discovery of aromas and flavours whose interweaving is reminiscent of a cinematic fade-out. A real highlight of the tasting, the transition from nose to palate is so harmonious, rich and complex that it reveals a sparkling finish whose length is matched only by the freshness of its expression.
