About Calumet Farm 16 Year Old Single Rack Black Bourbon Whiskey
Calumet Farm 16 Year-Old Bourbon Whiskey is part of the Single Rack Black premium bourbon line. This exquisite bourbon pays homage to one of the most legendary thoroughbreds in racing history, Citation. The passion and dedication that led Citation to victory are evident in every sip of this bourbon, which exemplifies the zealous patience it takes to create a true champion. Aged for 16 years in the heart of bourbon country, Bardstown, Kentucky, this bourbon is non-chill filtered to add depth of character and color. The mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley creates a deep mahogany color with dark red shadows and golden highlights. The taste is a harmonious balance of notes of saturated oak and warm rye spice, allowing flavors of cherries, dark fruits, and baking spices to shine through. The finish is rounded out by notes of freshly baked bread, toasted toffee, and a light cornmeal dryness.

About Calumet Farm
In 1924, William Monroe Wright, a successful entrepreneur and owner of Calumet Baking Powder Company, established a farm on the rolling hills of Lexington, Kentucky. The horses that were raised on Wright’s farm would go on to win eight Kentucky derbies, along with two triple crowns.
Calumet Farm Bourbon Whiskey pays homage to Wright’s beautiful farm and his tradition of breeding winners. The bourbon is made from a traditional mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley that are distilled before being aged in virgin, American oak casks. As a result, the bourbon has an aroma of caramel, baking spices and oak that gives way to notes of butterscotch, vanilla, toffee and brown sugar on the palate. The finish is full and warming, with hints of chili peppers and nutmeg.
